1. Data protection – that’s what it’s all about:

Data protection is about protecting you from the misuse of your data.

When you use the License Library, data flows that we know exactly belongs to you. This data is called personal data. We want to (and have to) explain to you what exactly happens:

1.1. Who is responsible for data processing?

That’s us:

CCP Software GmbH, Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße 1-5, 35037 Marburg, info@ccpsoft.de

1.2. Is there a data protection officer I can contact?

Yes, there is one. His name is Henning Welz and you can reach him at welz@gdsm.de or at our postal address with the addition “the data protection officer”.

1.3. Who is the responsible supervisory authority?

This is the “Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information”, Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65389 Wiesbaden.

1.4. What rights do I have in relation to the processing of my data?

You have the following rights:

  • Right to information.
  • Right to rectification.
  • Right to erasure.
  • Right to restriction of processing.
  • Right to object.
  • Right to data portability.
  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

If you have any questions regarding the exercise of these rights, please do not hesitate to contact our data protection officer.

1.5. What data are we actually talking about?

First of all, there is the technical data that is always collected when you visit a website:

      • IP address
      • Date and time of the request
      • Time zone difference from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
      • Content of the request (specific page)
      • Access status/HTTP status code
      • Amount of data transferred in each case
      • Website from which the request came
      • Browser
      • Operating system and its interface
      • Language and version of the browser software.

In addition, we also use small pieces of information that we store on your computer to make it easier for you to use the site. These are called cookies. This is necessary for the License Library to function.

If you enter data in the License Library, for example to register or to use the product, then we use the data exclusively for the respective purpose, namely for the fulfillment of the contract, or, within the framework of the test phase, for the initiation of the contract (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO). And only until the purpose has been fulfilled.

As part of this contract fulfillment, you will receive our newsletter (the subscriber update mailing). The newsletter is sent as a result of registration on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b DSGVO. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

If you upload and save files in your internal area, our part of the processing only consists of the storage. This is also based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO.

We do not need consent for any of these operations (we call them “processing operations”). If we want to do something else with the data, we will ask you for consent.

We do this at the very beginning, right after you open the page, in a so-called consent tool. Here you can also find out exactly which data we read from or write to your computer, why this happens, by which technology the processing takes place and how long we store the data. By changing the settings in this consent tool, you can revoke any consent you have given at any time.

1.5.1.     If consent has been given: Google Analytics

If you have given your consent at the beginning, in the consent tool, the License Library uses Google Analytics.

Google Analytics analyses your use of the License Library. The information required for this purpose about your use is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On our behalf, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the License Library, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage.

We only use Google Analytics if you have consented to it. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO.
