KNOWLEDGEBASE

In the Knowledgebase, you can search for on-premises software, software as a service applications, freeware, and open source software to view their use rights and license terms. Each software entry has licensing documents and evidence that you can download. You can bookmark entries that are relevant to you and then retrieve them from your personal favorites area. You can request missing entries free of charge via the License Service Desk.

LEARN MORE

The entries in the Knowledgebase follow a unique product structure that consists of the manufacturer, the product family, a version, and an edition (for example, Microsoft Office 2019 Professional). In the detail view of an entry, you will find licensing information that may differ based on the license type. This information is displayed in different information clusters. In a separate cluster, you will find the commercial license articles and SKUs with which the software can be purchased. The availability of information plays a decisive role in the maintenance of data. Each entry in the Knowledgebase is created and released using the 4-eyes principle.

02

PRODUCT GUIDES

The Product Guides area lets you access a collection of current and legacy licensing documents. Those documents offer a general licensing overview of a specific software manufacturer. New documents will be published regularly, and legacy ones will be moved to an archive available to you.

LEARN MORE

The documents in the Product Guides section are arranged in descending order according to their publication period and are proactively checked at regular intervals for current versions, which are then supplemented. Each document is provided in German and English, depending on availability.

03

MASTER AGREEMENTS

Learn about the key features of volume licensing agreements from major vendors. The information available in the Master Agreements section helps you better compare and evaluate the different contract components.

LEARN MORE

The different volume licensing contracts will be periodically reviewed and supported with appropriate documents. Please contact us if you want us to include contracts for another software manufacturer. Moreover, each product in the Knowledgebase contains a link to the corresponding manufacturer area in Master Agreements. In this way, you can review the licensing use rights next to the commercial conditions.

04

USE CASES

Find verified answers to practical cases of software licensing in the Use Cases area. Your starting point is always a specific question which can be individual and complex. The researched solutions are comprehensible and supported by documents of proof.

LEARN MORE

The answers are organized based on a software manufacturer and often relate to a specific product or scenario. The Use Cases can be searched by keywords and contain references to the original source. You are welcome to open a Use Case Ticket via the License Service Desk.

05

SKU TRACKER
