May the font “Arial Narrow” be used freely or are there dependencies or restrictions with regard to licensing?
The font “Arial Narrow” is not a font that is provided with Windows as a system-wide resource. Therefore, the use of the font should be seen primarily in the context of the software with which it is provided (Microsoft Office applications).
If this is a commercial application (no trial, home use, student edition or similar), the manufacturer does not impose any restrictions on what the print output of this font may be used for (commercial use of the print output is also permitted).
To cover other scenarios, additional licences can be purchased for this font via fonts.com. The linked page describes and summarises the usage scenarios well. Fonts.com is a distribution channel of Monotype, whose licence models can be accessed here. Please note that not every font is available in every licence model.
