May an Apple Macintosh OS be used as sa Qualifying Operating System for a Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise upgrade if enrolled in a Microsoft Volume Licensing program?
Yes, Apple Macintosh is also provided by Microsoft as a Qualifying Operating System (basic license) for an upgrade to Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise. However, this is only possible through one of the following major contracts:
- New Enterprise Agreement (EA)/Open Value Company-Wide (OV-CW) (Also applicable to Qualified Devices acquired through merger or acquisition.)
- Microsoft Products and Services Agreement (MPSA)/Select Plus/Open
- For customers in research and education (here, Windows 10 Education replaces the Windows 10 Enterprise Upgrade) and non-profit organizations
