A user uses a Microsoft Office 2016 on premise installation on his notebook. Moreover, he can use another Microsoft Office installation via RDP. How many license are required?
The user is required to have one license for the use of Microsoft Office on his own device and for the access of Microsoft Office via RDP
However, the following rules need to be taken into account:
- the software may not be accessed simultaneously
- only the same edition of the software may be used in both environments
- the given license needs to cover the highest version the Microsoft Office in use
- there need to be sufficient access licenses (RDS or Windows Server CAL) to cover the RDP connection
