KNOWLEDGEBASE
In the Knowledgebase, you can search for on-premises software, software-as-a-service applications, freeware and open source software to view the analyzed usage rights and license terms. Each software entry has license documents and proof of licensing that you can download. You can bookmark relevant entries and then call them up in your personal favorites area. You can request missing license analyses (EULA-Check Plus) free of charge via the License Service Desk.

The entries in the Knowledgebase follow a clear product structure consisting of manufacturer, product family, version and edition (e.g. Microsoft Office 2019 Professional). In the detailed view of an entry, you will find license-related information that may differ depending on the license type. This information is displayed in different overviews. In a separate overview, you will find the commercial license articles and SKUs with which the software can be purchased. The availability of information plays a decisive role in data maintenance. Each entry in the Knowledgebase is created and released according to the dual control principle.
SKU TRACKER
The SKU Tracker is a SKU search engine that searches over one million SKUs (Stock Keeping Units, i.e. manufacturer article numbers) and commercial license descriptions. As a result, you receive a manufacturer SKU as well as a normalized article text that is linked to analyzed usage rights of the software in the Knowledgebase.

The SKU Tracker is regularly updated with new entries and manufacturers and contains commercial license data since 2001. If you cannot find the SKU you are looking for, you can send us your search query. We will then check it and add the corresponding SKU to the SKU Tracker. Use this SKU search engine to decipher ambiguous purchases that have already been made and to gain more certainty for future license purchases.
PRODUCT GUIDES
In the Product Guides section, you have access to a collection of current and archived license documents. These provide you with a complete overview of a manufacturer’s licensing. New documents are published regularly and outdated documents are moved to an archive that you can access.

The documents in the Product Guides section are sorted in descending order according to their publication date, starting with the most recent version. They are proactively checked for current versions at regular intervals and updated if necessary. Each document is provided in German and English, depending on availability.
MASTER AGREEMENTS
Find out about the main features of volume license agreements from major manufacturers. The information available in the Master Agreements section will help you to better compare and evaluate the various contract components.

The various manufacturer areas are regularly updated and provided with the corresponding certificates. Please contact us if you would like us to consider another manufacturer. In each software product analyzed in the Knowledgebase, you will also find a link to the corresponding manufacturer in the Master Agreements section, if there is one. This allows you to quickly view the commercial framework conditions in addition to the licensing data.
FONT LICENSING
Font Licensing familiarizes you with the usage rights and licensing conditions of fonts and explains how they may be used in which scenarios. The information is provided at font manufacturer level. It is also updated at regular intervals.

USE CASES
In the Use Cases section, you will find documented answers to practical software licensing use cases. The starting point is always a specific question, which can be individual and very complex. The researched solutions are explained in a comprehensible manner and provided with evidence.

The questions answered are sorted by manufacturer and often relate to a specific product or scenario. The Use Cases can be searched using keywords and, in addition to documents, also contain a source reference as proof of the solution. You can open a use case ticket yourself at any time via the License Service Desk.
MY BOOKMARKS
This area allows you to bookmark software license analyses from the Knowledgebase section. These individually defined entries are stored centrally in your Favorites section and can be accessed directly from there.

In this area, you can also upload documents and link them to a saved software license analysis. This is helpful if, for example, you want to record side agreements to the standard terms and conditions. In addition, you can also record the number of licenses purchased for a piece of software in your individual favorites area.

The License Service Desk is your direct contact in the License Library team. Contact them if you cannot find a software product in the Knowledgebase (EULA Check Plus), if you have an individual licensing issue (Use Case) or if a SKU is not available in the SKU Tracker area (SKU Validation).
